Hey guys, I just wanted to gush about something that I'm so excited about! An idea started by two wonderful artists and blog friends: Ishtar Olivera, artist and blogger in the UK, and Cèline, of the paper blog Bohème Circus in France. Their awesome idea: The Happy Mail Project!
Ishtar and Cèline have put together a group of 13 creatives, artists, and bloggers from around the world who will be participating in this mail project over the course of 2013. Every month we will be handcrafting mail to be sent between each other in the group. Yours truly, moi, was invited to participate...as you might've guessed when I said "we" in the previous sentence. "Cheese" (^•^)!
There's something so special about sending and receiving mail, mail that has been thoughtfully put together, letters that have a friendly message, and pretty envelopes that put a smile on your face when you open your mailbox. You know that I'm a major fan of snail mail and this is so up my alley...that phrase is probably not the best way to say it, but you know what I mean.
I'll be documenting each of my projects here on my blog and also at The Happy Mail Project blog. I'll have a new project each month this year. Isn't it time handcrafted letters and good old fashioned snail mail made a come back, and a pretty one too? xo
